There are no heroes in the chaos…

Elsa never asked to be a hero. She is finally free of the Darkzone, and she is determined to save her uncle. In her search for him, she will cross a brittle, baked landscape and enter the ruthless world of the Blood Wolves, where her skills as a Junker have little value. She will find the surface is just as dangerous as the underground. There will be those desperate for her help, yet Elsa will find she cannot save everybody. She will have to choose. And in the Chaos, choices have consequences, always.


Noak knows he is no hero. He is a dog, tied to a cruel master. Forced into a life of violence, Noak struggles to keep his humanity. He must hold back monsters without and within, as well as dedicate his life to one purpose: breaking the leash. But the leash is strong and when Elsa becomes a pawn in the unspoken war between him and his master, Noak will be forced to commit an act of violence so great, he may lose himself completely.


Amos doesn’t care about heroes. His time is running out. He must find a way to protect Elsa from their enemies, even if it means sending her back into the darkness alone. But Amos may have a greater problem than the Blood Wolves. A long-held secret threatens his relationship with his niece, and Amos must fight to keep it buried deep underground, where it belongs.


Finn dreams of being a hero. And he could do it, if only the people around him would let him. The arrival of Elsa and the Junker presents Finn with a long-awaited opportunity, but it will also force him to confront his father and the dangerous power they share. Finn will get his chance to be a hero, but will the price be worth it?


Each must find their guiding light forward. Each much choose their own path. They may not be heroes, but together they may be enough.
